Indian and Moghal Rule - Moghal rule clearly left its mark on India, a mark so influential that even in modern times this impact in rich heritage, culture, architecture and in particular Moghal cuisine which has an enormous influence not only in India but also globally.
- Adjectives like princley, sublime, majestic and illustrious clearly illustrate the foods royal status, it is food for kings, queens, courtiers and nobility. Little wonder then that the great emperors like Akbar employed more than 400 highly skilled chefs in vast kitchens specially designed for his royal palaces. Despite being one of the oldest civilisations, India has been enriched over the centuries by other cultures. This menu reflects as accurately as possible, many of these cuisines including our speciality dishes with their Moghal influence dating back to the 16th Century.
